The extremely effective stone sharpening wheel hones and sharpens even blunt knives in a matter of a few strokes. We’re very impressed with the outstanding way that it sharpens a wide variety of different knives, not just Robert Welch Signature knives. No water is required to wet the stone and six to eight strokes on the Signature sharpener will almost always have the job done. Very little downward pressure is required to sharpen your knife, the forwards and backwards stroking motion does all of the work. The signature sharpener feels comfortable and solid to hold and the weighted non slip base ensures that it stays still and secure on the counter as you sharpen your knives. The sharpening wheel on the Signature sharpener can be cleaned in the dishwasher to remove any build up of metal residue. Replacement wheels are available when yours finally becomes worn.
