Galantino Taste of Puglia Gift Set
With the Taste of Puglia gift set, you can enjoy an authentic taste of southern Italy. It contains everything you need to make orecchiette with cime di rapa. Shaped like little ears, this pasta shape is native to Puglia.
This gift set is made by Galantino, one of Italy’s top olive oil producers. The family has been making cold-pressed olive oil since 1926. Their spicy chilli oil pairs beautifully with cime di rapa. This green brassica has a sweet and slightly bitter taste. It’s also known as broccoli rabe or rapini.
The Taste of Puglia gift set contains:
- 500g orecchiette pasta
- 320g cime di rapa
- 100ml chilli oil
Cook the orecchiette for around 18 minutes in boiling salted water. Once cooked, the pasta should still be firm with a slight chew to it. Warm the cime di rapa in a pan and toss with the pasta. Add a drizzle of chilli oil before serving.
In Puglia, cime di rapa is often paired with Italian sausage for a meaty version of this dish. You can add garlic for extra flavour and top your pasta with grated Parmesan. If you don’t have any cheese, scatter toasted breadcrumbs over the dish, as they do in southern Italy.

About Galantino
Galantino is based in the town of Bisceglie, Puglia – the region that produces more olives than any other in the world. The medieval town is steeped in history, perched on the Adriatic coast and surrounded by ancient olive groves. Galantino’s oil is renowned for its quality and consistency, and holds protected status (PDO). The family olive mill has been pressing oil since 1926, and is run today by the third generation. All their olives are carefully selected and washed before being crushed on traditional stone mills.
