The Framola system is designed to make the construction and installation of Pergolas and Garden Structures as simple as possible. This 2-Way Corner Connector Bracket is suitable for connecting 2 pieces of wood to make a Pergola, Pagoda, Archway or Gazebo. It can connect an upright post to a horizontal beam, forming an L-shaped corner. 

We offer 2 different sizes, with one for 4”/100mm timber or wood posts and one for 6”/150mm posts. It is essential that you choose the right size for your fence posts, as the bracket may overhang the edges of the timber, or may not offer enough strength.

The pergola corner bracket itself consists of 2 parts, a corner piece, and a flat L. The corner piece can be used to locate the wood and connect the wood at the right point. The flat L will go on the other side to complete the look, and give the wood an encases look. You also receive 1 Internal L-Bracket which are suitable for strengthening the internal joins between the timber fence posts, ensuring a strong installation all round.

The 2-Way Corner Connector Bracket features 12, carefully positioned, “staggered” screw holes to allow the screws not to collide when installing with other parts of the Framola kit. Each screw hole is 8mm wide to comfortably allow for timber railway sleeper screws to be used.

As with other Framola products, this Pergola 2-Way Corner Connector Bracket comes with a textured black finish, which is both pleasing in appearance, as well as helping the outer of the bracket remain durable and hard-wearing. The bracket itself is made using 2.5mm Heavy Duty Galvanised Steel, which will remain rust-free forever, even in the event of the coating being damaged.

Getting the right kit:

To get the right Framola kit for the size of wood you are using, please select from the options “Suitable for”, this will allow you to select between 4″x4″ (100mm x 100mm) posts or 6“x6” (150mm x 150mm) posts.

Installation Tips

• Ensure that the upright beam on the pergola is flush straight with the top part of the bracket. The width of the wood will be the same as the lower part of the bracket so is simple to line up horizontally.
• The horizontal beam should be pushed towards both the upright and the edge of the bracket to ensure it is flush.
• The wood should be screwed to the corner bracket before placing the Flat L plate on the opposing side. This should then be screwed in place too.
• The internal L-Bracket should then be screwed to the internal joint of the wood to ensure a secure installation.

Please note:

• We have tested Framola brackets to work up to lengths of 3m wood when using 6″ posts, we cannot guarantee the Framola brackets will work with any longer lengths.
