Burr Alignment
After assembly, experts test grinders for performance, precision, and consistency. Cutting-edge imaging evaluates grind uniformity. Burr lock and touch points are meticulously measured for acceptability (< 1.5 marks for Mazzer 33M and < 1 mark for SSP Multi-Purpose).
Orbit Tolerances
All Orbit parts are individually measured during the quality control process. This is to ensure they meet our precise standards and allow for the best burr alignment. For example, our grinders must meet or exceed the following:
- Burr mounting surfaces – 10 microns in flatness
- Motor drive shafts – 20 microns in concentricity
- Other critical parts – 20 micron tolerances
Care and Cleaning: Do not immerse the Orbit or its parts in water. Use a soft cloth with warm water only to clean the product. Do not use detergent or other chemicals for cleaning as it can damage the product.
